Apple to Begin iPhone 17 Production in Tamil Nadu by Late 2025

Apple has confirmed that production of its upcoming iPhone 17 series will commence at its expanded Foxconn facility in Tamil Nadu by Q4 2025. This marks a major step in Apple’s shift away from China-centric manufacturing.

Analysts say this could bring over 20,000 skilled jobs and elevate India’s role in global electronics exports. Apple is also working with local suppliers to increase component localization, which may lower iPhone prices in the Indian market over time.
